Key dates for your diary
Construction is well underway with apartments available to purchase. Our Show Apartment is now open and we have already welcomed our first homeowners.
A charming market town in a desirable location, Wendover is an ideal place to choose for those over 55. As a popular area with commuters, you'll enjoy the hustle and bustle of nearby city life whilst still getting the chance to relax in beautiful surroundings. You'll find a number of natural attractions in the Wendover area, thanks to its position as a valley amid the Chiltern Hills, which are deemed an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
While transport links will provide quick access to England's capital city, urban life couldn't seem further away at times. The high street itself offers the best of both worlds with a range of modern and traditional amenities. As well as excellent shopping opportunities, you'll find restaurants and cafes dotted along the street with other services including a bank, post office, library, doctor's surgery and dentist.
Community spirit is also rife in Wendover thanks to the local churches and numerous clubs and societies that take place. Many of these are focused on sport with a large amount of sporting facilities found within a few miles of Wendover. These include tennis courts, squash courts, golf courses, bowling greens and swimming pools.
For those interested in travelling further afield, Wendover is well connected via road and rail with the local train station only 0.5 miles from our development.
What's in a name?
The name Ridgeway Place was chosen to acknowledge the development's unrivalled location close to Wendover town centre and at the edge of the Chiltern Hills. The Ridgeway is an ancient trackway considered to be Britain's oldest road starting at the Salisbury Plain and ending in East Anglia. Part of the route was adopted as a national trail in 1972 - The Ridgeway National Trail - and a section of its 87 miles runs down Wendover High Street.
The naming of the apartments follows the local theme, this time referencing the development's proximity to Chequers, the country house retreat of the Prime Minister. Each apartment carries the surname of a former PM, including some of Chequers' better known occasional residents such as Chamberlain, Attlee and, of course, Churchill.
