So happy at Herriot Gardens

I moved into Herriot Gardens, Sunderland in late November 2021. From start to finish I was guided by a wonderful sales lady called Louise, she was most professional, dedicated and assisted me every step in the process. I reserved my apartment on my first visit and moved in within a month, felt at home from the very first day and joined a community of like minded residents, we have a lunch club, movie matinees, exercise classes, game’s nights and regular birthday parties and other outside activities which a number of residents enjoy. The management of Herriot Gardens is first class and the House Manager is on hand to give any help or assistance to all of the residents. I have no regrets moving into Herriot Gardens and hope to enjoy the facilities for years to come.

​Having recently bought a McCarthy Stone apartment at Herriot Gardens in Sunderland, I would like to recommend anyone interested in this way of life to go ahead. My husband and I have settled in to a wonderful community and are enjoying the lifestyle immensely.

​We moved into our apartment at Herriot Gardens in Sunderland just 9 days before Christmas 2021. This was only 5 weeks and 2 days after we first viewed the property. We were able to do this so quickly by taking advantage of McCarthy & Stone's part exchange scheme. The part exchange took care of the majority of moving worries because it meant that we did not need to find a buyer for our existing property or pay any removal costs. We moved from the Manchester area and had never been to Sunderland before. The residents and staff at Herriot Gardens have made us very welcome and helped us to settle in. We are now enjoying exploring the local area and coastline which is only a 20 minute walk away. We are very happy here and are pleased that we chose a McCarthy & Stone property.

​I have been very impressed by the standard of care and service experienced after moving into the Herriot Gardens development in Sunderland. The building is beautifully furnished. The apartments are well equipped and the staff are friendly and eager to help, particularly the House Manager. I have definitely made the right move
