Living in Brough

Brough is a small but affluent town on the northern banks of the Humber. Previously known as Petuaria during the Roman period, it was believed to be the home of highwayman Dick Turpin until his capture and execution. You can even have a drink at the Ferry Inn, the place he was arrested in 1739! Today, Brough is growing in popularity as a great destination for families and retirees.

The town centre of Brough has all the main amenities, including a Post Office, a variety of banks, hairdressers, vets, churches, three pubs and the lovely Brough Golf Club and is also within walking distance of the Blackburn Leisure Sports and Social Club.
