Local McCarthy Stone staff join litter picking at Whitley Bay town and beach
Staff working for McCarthy Stone's Elderton Place retirement development have been out and about in the local community supporting a litter picking project in Whitley Bay, as part of the Great British Spring Clean campaign from Keep Britain Tidy.
In conjunction with North Tyneside Council's Love your Street campaign, McCarthy Stone staff got out their litter pickers to do a full sweep of the town and beach, before returning to Elderton Place for some well-deserved refreshments including tasty bacon sandwiches and hot cups of tea, prepared by the popular bistro staff.
Louise Flynn, Divisional Marketing Manager for McCarthy Stone, said 'With our Elderton Place retirement living development just down the road from the beach, we wanted to do our bit and work with the local council and community to help keep this beautiful coastline and town centre clean and tidy for us all to enjoy."
