THE LOCAL AREA

Living in East Molesey

East Molesey is located on the edge of Greater London and within easy reach to the River Thames.

At Hampton Court Palace, you can explore the public dramas and private lives of Henry VIII, his wives and his children. There’s also the opportunity to visit the Great Hall, the Haunted Gallery and even the Tudor kitchens. Down by the River Thames,you can take a walk down the Thames Path or even hire a boat if you’re feeling adventurous.

Closer to our retirement development in East Molesey, there’s also a recreation ground. This is the ideal place to go if you fancy a short stroll or want to take your dog for a walk.

The centre of East Molesey is only 0.3 miles away from the development, so it’s within easy walking distance. There are a number of great amenities here, including a Post Office, a chemist, a podiatrist, a pub and a large Tesco Metro. Within a 10-minute walk, there’s also a dentist and two medical practices.

Further afield, Walton-on-Thames town centre is just 3 miles away and benefits from the Heart Shopping Centre, which includes shops such as Debenhams and Waterstones. In the town, you’ll also find an Everyman Cinema, the Cecil Hepworth Playhouse and the popular Riverhouse Barn Arts Centre.

It’s easy to get out and explore the local area from the development, too. There’s a bus stop only around a minute’s walk away and from here you can reach Walton, Esher, Weybridge, Kingston and Hampton Court where the train to Waterloo takes just over half and hour.
