Billericay is located in Essex and has a long history – it’s believed to have been occupied since the Bronze Age. Today, the town still shows signs of its fascinating past, particularly in the architecture of its buildings. You’ll find lots of historic Tudor and Georgian houses, as well as many reminders of the Pilgrim Fathers, who were said to have a meeting in Billericay prior to setting sail on the Mayflower.
The McCarthy & Stone development is located just near the main street, where you can find all the usual amenities – supermarkets, banks, restaurants, shops and more. The Cater Museum specialises in the local history of the area and there are many sports clubs for those looking for something a little more active.
