KENDAL CRICKET CLUB ‘HITS A SIX’ WITH SPONSORSHIP DEAL

A cricket club in Kendal is hoping to hit the sixes in style this year after revealing a new kit sponsor. 

Kendal Cricket Club, which plays in the Northern Premier Cricket League, has partnered with the team behind the McCarthy Stone Retirement Living development, Alavana Place, who will sponsor the club’s kit as part of its commitment to create a positive legacy in the community.

Located next door to Alavana Place, the club has a 188-year history with the local community, having been formed in 1836. As founder members of the North Lancashire League and Northern League, they have topped the tables an impressive 12 times and have also lifted the Higson Cup twice, along with the Meageen Cumbrian Cup four times. Today, it remains a prominent feature of the community, providing teams from under-9s to the first team, who play in division one.
