Maureen Ridgeway court in Heathfield

When Maureen visited Ridgeway Court in Heathfield for a glass of champagne on her Birthday last year, she had no intention of leaving her family home. But the visit proved to be one she would not forget.

“It all happened so quickly! I went to have a nose around with my daughters and take advantage of some free champagne and the next thing I knew, I had my name down on an apartment!”

Having lived in Heathfield for a number of years, Maureen found the town had everything she needed, and with Ridgeway Court just ten minutes away, she knew she wouldn’t be moving far.

“McCarthy & Stone made the moving process so easy, they couldn’t have been more helpful and everything fell into place with the move. I’ve been here since December and I love it. It is a fantastic place to live!”

Maureen decided to move to take away the stresses of maintaining her old home. She now enjoys an active social life, joining in with Armchair Keep Fit, weekly Coffee Mornings and the ‘3 to 5’ club, bringing opportunities to play games or watch a film in the lounge area, as well as a monthly fish and chips night!

“Everyone is friendly and sociable; we’re like one big family.”

With her two daughters visiting on a regular basis, Maureen told us how well she had settled in. She loves that she has her own place which her family visit at any time, but now without the worry of some of the chores of a normal house, like gardening and window cleaning.
