Tunbridge Wells Retirees Dance the Afternoon Away at The Dairy

25 May 2019

Homeowners and staff at McCarthy Stone’s Tunbridge Wells Retirement Living Plus development, The Dairy, on St John’s Road, invited local retirees to put on their dancing shoes for a spectacular afternoon of ballroom dancing.

Guests who attended the special event enjoyed two impressive performances from professional dancers, Richard and Morgan; and, after wowing everyone with dances such as Waltz and the Rumba, the professionals demonstrated some popular moves to help attendees improve their own technique.

As well as dancing the afternoon away, guests were able to take a closer look at The Dairy.  The event provided the opportunity to take a tour the show complex, meet the McCarthy Stone team, and chat with retirees who are already living at the development.

Kevin Sims, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy Stone South East, said: “Our ballroom dancing event was a great success. Richard and Morgan put on a fantastic performance for our homeowners and guests, and everyone loved getting involved. If people were not up and dancing, then they were certainly tapping their toes.

“The event was a good chance for us to showcase the wide variety of activities we host here at The Dairy, and to provide people with an insight into the lives homeowners enjoy at the development.”

The Dairy comprises a selection of one and two bedroom apartments designed exclusively for those aged 70 and over. All those who make the development their home can enjoy an active, independent lifestyle, with the opportunity to benefit from companionship when desired and privacy when needed.

Homeowners can make the most of the beautiful landscaped gardens, knowing all the maintenance is taken care of.  They can also feel secure in the knowledge that the Estate Management team is on hand to provide any help or support should they need it; and that friends and family can stay over whenever they choose in the development’s comfortable guest suite.

Whether homeowners require help with chores such as housework or laundry, or just an extra pair of hands, support packages are tailored to individual needs. A fully equipped bistro restaurant provides freshly prepared meals daily if homeowners don’t wish to cook in their apartments; and 24-hour emergency call points provide added peace-of-mind for both homeowners and their families.

Prices at The Dairy currently start from £350,000 for a one bedroom apartment and from £488,000 for a two bedroom apartment.

More than nine out of ten customers would recommend McCarthy Stone to a friend, ensuring it has received the full Five Star award for customer satisfaction from the Home Builders Federation for 14 years’ running.  McCarthy Stone is the only UK housebuilder of any size or type to achieve this accolade, which is every year the awards have been run.
