The Mayor of Northwich opens new local retirement development

29 May 2017

The Mayor of Northwich, Janet Myerscough Illidge, joined local retirees earlier this week for the grand opening of the show complex at McCarthy and Stone’s Oak Grange development in Hartford.

Councillor Janet Myerscough Illidge joined McCarthy and Stone representatives and guests to mark the official opening of the development on Bradburns Lane with a ceremonial ribbon cutting. The Mayor and all those who attended the special event had the privilege of being among the first to view the beautiful fully-furnished show apartments and toast the new development with a glass of Champagne.

Councillor Janet Myerscough Illidge, comments: “It was a pleasure to officially open the show complex and to see first-hand just what a first class lifestyle McCarthy and Stone is offering at Oak Grange. Living independently and securely is extremely important; and with a growing number of people reaching retirement age, I’m delighted developments such as this are being built to provide Hartford retirees with a number of options to make the most out of their later years.”

Designed for the discerning over 60s, Oak Grange presents a collection of 35 one and two bedroom apartments, priced from £184,999 and £279,999 respectively. Potential purchasers can also take advantage of McCarthy and Stone’s range of tailored incentives aimed at making moving easier, including Part Exchange – which can benefit those trading up or down.

Fiona Brooks, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy and Stone North West, commented: “We’re very thankful to Councillor Janet Myerscough Illidge for taking the time out of her busy schedule to visit our new Hartford development ahead of its public opening.  Oak Grange is already proving very popular with local retirees; and, with 75% of apartments sold off plan, now really is a good time for prospective purchasers to visit and find out more about the many benefits of Retirement Living.

“The stunning show complex perfectly highlights the modern designs and luxurious surroundings future homeowners will enjoy when they move into their new apartments at Oak Grange later this summer.  We’re urging anyone interested in securing one of these apartments for themselves to come along to the show complex and take a look around, or get in touch without delay.”

Oak Grange will feature a stunning homeowners’ lounge, ideal for socialising with friends, beautifully landscaped gardens in which to relax, and a convenient guest suite should homeowners have friends or relatives to stay. The development will also benefit from a House Manager, who will take care of the smooth running of the development, while a secure entrance system and 24-hour emergency call points will provide added peace of mind.

More than 90% of customers would recommend McCarthy and Stone to a friend, ensuring it has received the maximum Five Star award for customer satisfaction from the Home Builders’ Federation for 12 years’ running.  It is the only UK house builder of any size or type to achieve a Five Star award during every year of the HBF’s awards.
