Stoke gifford saying thanks McCarthy and Stone

St. Michael’s School has said a big thank you to McCarthy & Stone who have donated a flagpole as part of the celebrations for the school’s 150 year anniversary.

The flagpole, which has been donated by the retirement property developer, who is selling a range of one and two bedroom Later Living apartments at its Brook Court development, was installed last week ahead of the anniversary Fun Day.

Mr Freeman, the head teacher for St. Michael’s School, comments: “The flagpole has been a fantastic addition to our school and has provided a great focus point. We’ve erected the flag pole in the playground for all to see and it has already been widely admired by the local community.

“The donation has more than exceeded our expectation and it will serve as a lasting testament to our 150 year celebrations.”

Shane Paull, regional managing director for McCarthy & Stone, added: “We’re pleased that we have been able to add our own piece of history to a school that has been such an integral part of the Stoke Gifford community. McCarthy & Stone is committed to building relationships in the areas in which it builds in and we hope pupils at St. Michael’s School can enjoy the flagpole for years to come.”

McCarthy & Stone is currently selling a range of 50 one and two bedroom Later Living apartments exclusively for over 60s at Brook Court, on Savages Wood Road. Prices start from £175,950 for one bedroom apartments and £221,950 for two bedroom apartments.
