South Ribble Mayor Officially Opens New McCarthy and Stone Development

05 August 2019

The South Ribble Mayor, Councillor Harry Hancock, joined retirees in Penwortham to celebrate the grand opening of McCarthy and Stone’s new Retirement Living development, Hardwick Grange.

Councillor Hancock and retirees were given a tour of the professionally-styled show complex, as well as a chance to take a closer look at the contemporary homeowners’ lounge and guest suite – all whilst enjoying a glass of fizz and canapes. Throughout the day, the McCarthy and Stone sales team were on-hand to answer any questions, and to advise on how they can make moving to Hardwick Grange even easier.

Fiona Brooks, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy and Stone North West, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to officially open our fabulous development in Penwortham. Our easy to maintain, luxurious apartments allow homeowners to enjoy their independence, with the added benefit of communal areas for socialising with neighbours.

“We would like to say a huge thank you to Councillor Hancock for joining us to celebrate the opening of the development. We would encourage anyone over the age of 55 who is considering downsizing to take a look at the development themselves, they won’t be disappointed!”

Facilities at Hardwick Grange include a stunning homeowners’ lounge, ideal for socialising with friends; beautifully landscaped gardens in which to relax; and a convenient guest suite, should homeowners have friends or relatives to stay. A House Manager is on hand to take care of the day-to-day running of the development, while a 24-hour emergency call system will provide added peace-of-mind.

Situated on Cop Lane, Hardwick Grange is within close proximity of the centre of Penwortham. Homeowners will benefit from a variety of local amenities including a florist, bakery and a range of restaurants and pubs, as well as easy access to Penwortham, Ormskirk, the Flyde Coast and Southport.

Hardwick Grange features 30 one-bedroom and 21-two bedroom apartments for the over 55s, with prices currently starting from £175,000 and £240,000 respectively.

Furthermore, in July/August there has never been a better time to move. For a limited time, McCarthy and Stone will pay stamp duty on selected new apartments at Hardwick Grange for reservations made before 31st August 2019, provided the completion date is no later than 25th of October 2019.
