Retirement properties given the go ahead in Stroud
28 April 2014
Planning permission has been granted for a new development of retirement apartments in Stroud. McCarthy & Stone has been given the go-ahead to build an attractive collection of 32 Retirement Living apartments exclusively for those aged 60 and above.
The one and two bedroom privately owned retirement properties will be ideally situated on Caincross Road in Stroud, which will benefit from being located near the town’s main shopping area and train station. Nearby amenities include an award winning farmer’s market and supermarkets are conveniently situated just a short walk from the development.
Jacqui Meenan, sales and marketing director for McCarthy & Stone, comments: “Everything we do is built around a belief that later life can be rich, rewarding and fulfilling, which is why we’re thrilled to be bringing a new offering to the town. As specialists in Retirement Living, we understand what our customers want; a low maintenance property offering independence and security, to help get the most out of later life.”
With over 35 years of experience, McCarthy & Stone has become Britain’s leading provider of retirement apartments, having built more than 45,000 apartments in 1,000 different schemes.
McCarthy & Stone’s Retirement Living developments offer the independence of retaining home ownership while living in an apartment specifically designed for later life. Facilities will include a shared lounge, guest suite, laundry room and a lift. A dedicated house manager will ensure the smooth running of the development and a security entrance system plus 24-hour emergency call points provide peace of mind for both homeowners and their families. All properties will be low maintenance and energy efficient.
Construction on the new Stroud development is anticipated to start in summer 2014, with reservations being taken in autumn 2014. To find out more, or to register your interest, please call 0800 201 4742.
