Retirement Living PLUS revealed at New Alresford show complex opening

18 April 2019

New Alresford retirees joined in the celebrations at the new Wayfarer Place Retirement Living Plus development on The Dean when McCarthy Stone revealed its much-anticipated show apartments last week.

Comprising 54 one and two-bedroom privately-owned apartments exclusively for the over 70s, Wayfarer Place is currently approaching completion, and the first homeowners are expected to move in to the new retirement community in the summer.

Visitors to the show complex opening event were among the first to look around the two show apartments at the development, which were designed by Interior Classics, and they were able to see for themselves the specification and layout of the individual properties.

There was also an opportunity to talk to the McCarthy Stone team about the benefits of Retirement Living Plus as a downsizing option, and why it is ideal for those seeking the privacy that comes with owning your own home but who also need a little extra support in the form of domestic assistance, such as help with laundry or cleaning, and 24-7 tailored care packages.

Julie Mansbridge, Sales Executive at Wayfarer Place, said: “We have experienced high levels of interest in our New Alresford development since construction first got underway and, with apartments now available to buy off-plan, it is great that we can welcome local people along to Wayfarer Place so they can walk around the show complex and get a feel for the design and specification of the properties.

“All those who missed the event but would like to take a closer look at the development are invited to make an appointment to visit at their convenience and to find out more about what Retirement Living Plus has to offer New Alresford retirees, including why it is an excellent solution for older people who are looking to enjoy an independent retirement.”

Wayfarer Place will feature ample communal space for homeowners including a large club lounge, perfect for socialising with new neighbours, an on-site bistro serving fresh and nutritious meals daily, and landscaped gardens maintained by McCarthy Stone. A hotel-style guest suite will be available for visiting family and friends.

Built with security in mind, there will be a camera entry system to the development along with 24-hour emergency call points for all of the apartments. An Estates Manager and experienced support team will be available day or night to oversee the running of the Wayfarer Place and to offer any help.

More than nine out of ten customers would recommend McCarthy Stone to a friend, ensuring it has received the full Five Star award for customer satisfaction from the Home Builders Federation for 14 years’ running.  McCarthy Stone is the only UK housebuilder of any size or type to achieve this accolade for 14 consecutive years, which is every year the awards have been run.
