Residents invited to a Community Drop-In Workshop in Bovingdon

02 July 2015

McCarthy and Stone, the UK’s leading retirement housebuilder, is in the early stages of developing proposals for the Jaguar/Renault garage on Hempstead Road in Bovingdon. McCarthy and Stone is yet to develop detailed plans for this site for one of its bespoke Retirement Living schemes and is seeking to involve the community in the development of the proposals through a ‘Community Drop-In Workshop’.

The ‘Community Drop-in Workshop’ is open to all residents of Bovingdon and will take place on Wednesday 15th July 2015. It will be an opportunity for the local community to share knowledge and contribute in shaping the plans for specialist retirement living accommodation.

The workshop will take place at Bovingdon Memorial Hall, High Street, Bovingdon, HP3 0HJ between 2pm and 7pm.

Ali Maruf, Regional Managing Director at McCarthy and Stone said:

‘We are encouraging the whole community to participate through the Community Drop-In Workshop and believe this is an opportunity for local residents to contribute to the shaping of the plans before a potential planning application later in the year’

Following the workshop, McCarthy and Stone will work alongside its architects to produce a scheme that is influenced by the feedback received from the community before displaying the proposals at a public exhibition in September.
