Local residents have an opportunity to shape new homes in Dibden Purlieu as McCarthy & Stone reveal proposals to introduce much-needed, high quality Retirement Living housing, specifically designed to meet the needs of people in later life.
McCarthy & Stone, the UK’s leading developer of retirement apartments, is proposing to redevelop Browsewood, Gorse Cottage, Tudoresque and Hawthorn Cottage along Beaulieu Road in Dibden Purlieu with a signature development consisting of a mix of one and two bedroom retirement apartments, associated car parking and attractive landscaping.
McCarthy & Stone recognise that getting older can present challenges but their experience ensures they are able to provide the support, services and aspirations to help their residents live happier, healthier and longer lives.
An ageing population deserves appropriate housing provision, something which this proposal will deliver to the local area, whilst respecting the character of Dibden Purlieu. Now, McCarthy & Stone will share their early proposals with local residents at a public exhibition on Friday 21st March 2014, between 2.30pm and 6.30pm at St Andrew’s Church and Centre on Beaulieu Road in Dibden Purlieu.
Shane Paull of McCarthy & Stone commented:
“We have spent time carefully researching the architecture and character of the local area and we have worked hard to make sure that our proposal for the site feels like it belongs to Dibden Purlieu. We are keen that what we build is what the local community would like to see in the area whilst ensuring it meets the needs of future residents.
He continued: “We want to hear from the local community before we submit a planning application and will be displaying our plans at the exhibition. Our project team will be at the exhibition to answer questions and listen to feedback on what we have done so far and the comments we receive will help us tailor our proposals into something people will want to see, enjoy and call home.”
McCarthy & Stone, the UK’s leading developer of retirement apartments, is renowned for the quality of their developments that give their homeowners the time and opportunity to do things they’ve always wanted to do. The apartments allow people in later life to retain their independence, close to their family and friends, in a home suited specifically for their customer’s needs, in a safe and enjoyable environment.
If you are not able to attend the public exhibition or would like further information, McCarthy & Stone has provided a dedicated freephone information line for you to call (0800 298 7040) and has set up a website covering their initial proposals which can be found at www.mccarthyandstone-consultation.co.uk/dibdenpurlieu
