Proposals for land at the Kent County Cricket Club, Canterbury
06 February 2014
The local community will have the opportunity to view proposals by McCarthy & Stone at a forthcoming public exhibition.
McCarthy & Stone, the UK’s leading developer of age-exclusive apartments, has acquired an interest in land at the Kent County Cricket Club, Canterbury and is working up proposals to redevelop part of the site with a signature development consisting of 60 bespoke apartments. In addition, the proposals will include attractive landscaping and planting on the site with a high-quality landscape plan.
The public exhibition takes place on 11th February 2014 at The Pavilion, Kent County Cricket Club, Old Dover Road, Canterbury, Kent CT1 3NZ between 3.30pm – 7pm.
A spokesperson for McCarthy & Stone commented:
“We have spent time carefully researching the architecture and character of the local area and we have worked hard to make sure that our proposals for the site are a sensitive fit to Canterbury. Given the unique setting of the club we believe the site is a perfect location to introduce a bespoke, age-exclusive scheme.
“We look forward to meeting with the local community so that they can view our proposals and provide feedback before we submit a planning application. Our project team will be on hand to answer questions and discuss the plans”.
If you are not able to attend the public exhibition or would like further information, McCarthy & Stone has provided a dedicated freephone information line for you to call (0800 298 7040) and has set up a website covering their initial proposals which can be found at www.mccarthyandstone-consultation.co.uk/canterbury
