Official sales event announced for Didcot retirement apartments on Greenwood Way

05 September 2017

A date for an official sales event has been announced for a new McCarthy and Stone Retirement Living Plus development of 60 privately-owned apartments for the over 70s, on Greenwood Way in Didcot.

The event will be an opportunity to take a closer look at apartment specifications, floor plans and prices, and for interested purchasers to reserve their chosen apartment off-plan.

The new Retirement Living Plus development will provide an ideal downsizing option for retirees seeking the privacy that comes with owning your own home, but need a little extra support in the form of domestic assistance, such as help with laundry or cleaning.

Kim Caldwell, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy and Stone Southern, comments: “With the official sales event at Williams Place so highly anticipated, we are delighted to be able to welcome interested purchasers to Milton Hill Hotel in Abingdon on Thursday 14th September. There will be two presentations taking place at the event, at 11.00am and 2.00pm, and attendees will be able to enjoy a buffet lunch at 12.00pm. We would encourage local retirees interested in hearing more about Retirement Living Plus at Williams Place, to pop along and make the most of this great opportunity to reserve off-plan at this stunning new development.”

Currently under construction, a computer generated image has been released (see above) to show how Williams Place will look when completed. The development has been named in tribute to Sir Francis Owen Garbett “Frank” Williams CBE, the founder and team principle of the Williams Formula One racing team, who lives in Didcot.

Homeowners will find all the standard features of a McCarthy and Stone Retirement Living Plus development, with fully-fitted modern kitchens with integrated appliances, underfloor heating, spacious open-plan living areas, and stylish en-suite bathrooms. There will also be ample communal space including a large homeowners’ lounge, perfect for socialising with new neighbours, on-site restaurant which will serve fresh and nutritious meal options for homeowners daily, and a handy guest suite for when family and friends come to stay.

Built with security in mind, there will be a camera entry system to the development, and all the apartments will be equipped with 24-hour emergency call points. An Estates Manager along with an experienced support team, will also be available day or night to oversee the running of the development and to offer any help.

Located within easy reach of the picturesque Oxfordshire countryside and within the thriving community of Great Western Park, homeowners at the Didcot development will be able to make the most of the local amenities, which will include a supermarket and shopping parade, pub and community centre.
