Newport retirees host spring tea party in support of world voice day.

McCarthy and Stone’s Assisted Living development, Somers Brook Court, in Newport, hosted an afternoon Spring tea party yesterday to mark World Voice Day.
The event proved to be very popular, with a good turnout of visitors, friends and family. Guests were invited to share their favourite childhood storybook over a cup of tea and some delicious sweet and savory treats to raise awareness of World Voice Day, and highlight the important of voice in our daily lives.
World Voice Day is a worldwide annual event which takes place on 16 April, and is devoted to the celebration of the phenomenon of voice. The aim is to demonstrate the enormous importance of the voice as a tool of communication, and as an application of a large number of sciences.
The free event which took place at the Somers Brook Court development on Foxes Road enabled guests to put their storytelling skills to the test and at the same time visit the stunning show complex to find out more about Assisted Living and life at Somers Brook Court.
