New Knebworth Retirement Living Plus Development Visited By MP

27 August 2019

The MP for Stevenage, Stephen McPartland, donned a hard hat to help lay the building blocks of McCarthy and Stone’s new Lowe House Retirement Living Plus development on London Road in Knebworth.

The VIP guest joined McCarthy and Stone’s Area Sales Manager Chad Goldsmith, and Site Manager Christopher Feek to take a closer look at development plans and lay a date brick to mark the start of construction.

Lowe House will eventually comprise a stylish collection of one and two bedroom privately-owned Retirement Living Plus apartments exclusively designed for the over 70s.  Apartments will be available to reserve off plan in early 2020 with first occupations expected in spring 2020.

Stephen McPartland MP commented: Stephen McPartland MP commented: “It was a pleasure to visit the site of McCarthy and Stone’s new development in Knebworth, and to see the progress on construction there. It was a great opportunity to meet the site team, most of whom live in the area and are very conscious of being good neighbours during construction. I was pleased to discuss plans for helping those who move into the new homes to integrate into the village community and work with McCarthy and Stone on supporting community projects.”

McCarthy and Stone’s Retirement Living Plus developments offer retirees the opportunity to maintain an independent lifestyle, while also having access to tailored domestic and personal assistance packages to help them manage their day-to-day lives – and with an on-site restaurant providing freshly cooked meals.

Once complete, Lowe House will feature a Club Lounge, ideal for socialising with newfound friends; a Guest Suite for when homeowners have visitors to stay; and beautifully maintained gardens.  An Estates Manager will take care of the day-to-day running of the development, while secure entry systems and 24-hour emergency call points will provide added peace-of-mind.

Andrew Wickett, Managing Director at McCarthy and Stone North London comments: “We are delighted Stephen McPartland MP was able to take the time to visit our Knebworth site.

“McCarthy and Stone is committed to designing flexible homes which allow people to make the most of their retirement years, and to live as independently as possible with the benefit of having extra support should they need it.  It was great to be able to showcase the plans for some of the fantastic apartments that will eventually be available at Lowe House.”

Future homeowners at Lowe House will benefit from the development’s excellent location, within close proximity of an array of shops, a library and a doctor’s surgery. Sport enthusiasts and foodies will be spoilt for choice, with a large selection of highly rated restaurants and pubs in Knebworth, alongside badminton, cricket and tennis clubs for retirees to enjoy.
