Morgan Court Residents Dig Out Hidden Treasures

17 April 2013

Ever wondered if years of hoarding your hidden treasures could mean there ‘Cash in the Attic’?  Well if you have, perhaps you should visit McCarthy & Stone's Morgan Court Later Living development in Petworth because a variation of the ‘Antiques Roadshow’ is coming to town.

On Saturday 20th April, from 2pm until 4pm, local antiques dealer, Paul Hawtrey from Cheques Antiques, will be dropping in to Morgan Court on Station Road, to cast his expert eye over any treasured possessions people wish to have valued.

As part of Petworth’s Antiques Week celebrations, members of the local community are invited to join purchasers at the retirement apartments in bringing along one or two small items of jewellery, glass and silver for Paul’s expert assessment.

Julie Ward, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy & Stone, said:

"There may be people in the community that are harbouring some real treasures. Even if you doesn’t particularly want to sell your items, it’s always good to learn a little more about where these things might of come from, or what they might be worth, because you never know, there is always the chance of finding a valuable heirloom!”

Valuation appointments at the event are limited and will be awarded on a first come first served basis to those who contact the sales office at Morgan Court.
