McCarthy and Stone Seeks Charity to Support In Market Harborough

28 June 2019

The UK’s leading retirement housebuilder, McCarthy and Stone, has launched a search for a local charity to support in Market Harborough, as its new Retirement Living Plus development on Trimbush Way begins to take shape.

The forthcoming development, Elizabeth Place, will eventually comprise 58 luxury one and two bedroom age-exclusive apartments, exclusively designed for people aged 70 and over.

Due for completion in November 2019, construction is well underway, and McCarthy and Stone is looking to pledge its support to a neighbourhood project, charity or one-off event within the Market Harborough community.

Local groups and charities are urged to get in touch as soon as possible by emailing requests to mccarthyandstone@mccann.com by Sunday 1 September. Please mark your emails ‘Market Harborough Community Appeal’ in the subject header.

Sam Watkins, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy and Stone East Midlands, said “Our fundamental aim when creating a development is to support and integrate McCarthy and Stone and our future homeowners into the local community.

“Following the visit from children from Meadowdale Primary School last month and our support of Harborough Community Bus, we’re keen to do more to support our local community. Our developments are created with community in mind, and supporting local charities or neighbourhood projects allows us to create a positive legacy.”

The Elizabeth Place Retirement Living Plus development in Market Harborough will feature a stunning homeowners’ lounge, ideal for socialising with friends; an on-site restaurant; beautifully landscaped gardens; a convenient guest suite, should homeowners have friends or relatives to stay; and a range of 24/7 security and support services.

A dedicated Estates Manager will take care of the smooth running of the development, with 24 hour, 365 days a year on-site staffing, providing peace of mind for homeowners and their families.

Potential purchasers can now make the most of their first opportunity to reserve their preferred property off-plan, with one-bedroom apartments currently priced from £197,950 and two bedroom apartments currently starting from £280,950.

More than nine out of ten customers would recommend McCarthy and Stone to a friend, ensuring it has received the full Five Star award for customer satisfaction from the Home Builders Federation for 13 years’ running.  McCarthy and Stone is the only UK housebuilder of any size or type to achieve this accolade for 13 years, which is every year the awards have been run.
