McCarthy & Stone sparkles in Letchworth

26 May 2017

The Chairman of North Hertfordshire District Council, Councillor Alan Millard and his wife Maureen, joined local retirees earlier this week for the grand opening of the show complex at McCarthy and Stone’s Retirement Living development, Le Jardin in Letchworth.

Councillor Alan Millard joined McCarthy and Stone representatives and guests to mark the official opening of the development on Station Road.  All those who attended the event were treated to afternoon tea whilst having the privilege of being among the first to view the beautiful fully-furnished show apartments.

Councillor Alan Millard comments: “It was a pleasure to officially open the eagerly-awaited show complex, and to see first-hand just the first class lifestyle McCarthy and Stone is offering at Le Jardin. Living independently and securely is extremely important; and, with a growing number of people reaching retirement age it is incredibly reassuring that developments such as this are being built to provide the people of Letchworth with a number of options to make the most out of their retirement years.”

Designed for discerning over 60s, Le Jardin features a collection of 25 one and two bedroom apartments, priced from £274,950 and £425,950 respectively. Potential purchasers can also take advantage of McCarthy and Stone’s range of tailored incentives aimed at making moving easier, including Part Exchange which can benefit those trading up or down.

Elaine Stratford, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy and Stone North London, commented: “Le Jardin is already proving very popular with Letchworth retirees, and with over 75% of apartments sold off plan, now really is a good time for prospective purchasers to visit and find out more about Retirement Living.  The stunning show complex perfectly highlights the modern designs and luxurious surroundings that will be enjoyed when we welcome our first homeowners to this highly exclusive Retirement Living development this summer.”

“We’re very thankful to Councillor Alan Millard for taking the time out of his busy schedule to visit our new development and we are honoured that he was there to see our finished show apartments. We’re urging anyone interested in securing one of these apartments to come along to our brand new show complex and take a look around, or get in touch without delay.”

McCarthy and Stone developments are built to the highest standards and located in some of the most desirable postcodes in the country – and Le Jardin is no exception. All apartments have been built to a high specification, with selected designs benefiting from a patio or Juliet balcony.

Facilities at Le Jardin include a stunning Club Lounge with coffee bar, beautiful communal gardens in which to relax, and a Guest Suite which provides a comfortable stay for visiting family and friends. A dedicated House Manager will take care of the day-to-day running of the development; and a security entrance system and 24 hour emergency call points will provide added peace of mind.

Letchworth is one of the UK’s first garden cities and its semi-rural location gives homeowners the best of both worlds - a thriving town on the doorstep and access to surrounding countryside. There are good bus links throughout the local area, with major arterial roads including the A1, A507 and A505 also in close proximity. The nearest train station in Letchworth provides regular services to London for those looking to explore the bright lights and attractions of the Capital.

More than 90% of customers would recommend McCarthy and Stone to a friend, ensuring it has received the maximum Five Star award for customer satisfaction from the Home Builders’ Federation for 12 years’ running.  It is the only UK house builder of any size or type to achieve a Five Star award during every year of the HBF’s awards.
