McCarthy & Stone set to display proposals for a new Retirement Living development in Cirencester

04 November 2014

Local residents have an opportunity to shape new homes in Cirencester as McCarthy & Stone, the UK’s leading developer of retirement apartments, reveals proposals to transform a brownfield site on Tetbury Road with high-quality Retirement Living apartments, specifically designed to meet the needs of people in later life.

McCarthy & Stone has acquired an interest in the former T H White garage and car dealership site on Tetbury Road and is proposing to introduce a high-quality, contemporary designed Retirement Living development, featuring 35 one and two bed apartments aimed at people in later life.

McCarthy & Stone will share its proposals with local residents at a public exhibition on Thursday 6th November, between 3pm and 7pm at the Bingham Gallery and Conference Suite, Bingham House, 1 Dyer Street, Cirencester.

Shane Paull of McCarthy & Stone said:

“We have spent time carefully researching the architecture and character of the local area to ensure our proposals are a sensitive fit to Cirencester. The plans would also introduce a specialist form of housing which will help meet an identified, and growing, need in the area.

He continued, “We want to hear from the local community before we submit a planning application and will be displaying our plans at the exhibition. Our project team will be at the exhibition to answer questions and listen to feedback and the comments we receive will help us tailor our proposals.”

McCarthy & Stone is renowned for the quality of their developments that give their homeowners the time and opportunity to do things they have always wanted to do. The apartments allow people in later life to retain their independence, close to their family and friends, in a home suited specifically for their needs, in a safe and enjoyable environment.

If you are not able to attend the public exhibition or would like further information, McCarthy & Stone has provided a dedicated freephone information line for you to call (0800 298 7040) and has set up a website covering their initial proposals which can be found at
