McCarthy & Stone seeks charity to support in Ely

23 November 2017

The UK’s leading retirement housebuilder, McCarthy and Stone, has launched a search for a local charity to support in Ely and the surrounding areas, as its new Retirement Living Plus development on Lisle Lane, Roslyn Court, begins to take shape.

Roslyn Court will consist of 58 luxury one and two bedroom apartments, thoughtfully designed to provide the very best in modern, independent living within a safe environment.  With construction well underway on site, McCarthy and Stone is looking to pledge its support to a neighbourhood project, charity or one-off event within the local community.

Community groups and local charities are urged to get in touch as soon as possible by emailing requests to mccarthyandstone@mccann.com by midnight on Wednesday 31st January. Please mark your emails ‘Ely Community Appeal’ in the subject header.

Cheryl Bissett, Regional Sales and Marketing Director at McCarthy and Stone East Midlands, commented: “Our fundamental aim when creating a development is to support and integrate McCarthy and Stone and our future homeowners into the local community. Our developments are created with community in mind, and supporting local charities or neighbourhood projects allows us to create a positive legacy.”

Retirement Living Plus developments are designed exclusively for the over 70s and offer retirees the opportunity to maintain an independent lifestyle, while also having access to tailored domestic and personal assistance packages to help them manage their day-to-day lives – and with an on-site bistro providing freshly cooked meals.

An Estates Manager will be on hand to take care of the smooth-running of the Ely Retirement Living Plus development; while security entrance systems and 24 hour emergency call points will provide added peace-of-mind for homeowners and their families. Facilities will also include a homeowners’ lounge ideal for socialising with friends; landscaped gardens; and a convenient guest suite, should homeowners have friends or relatives to stay.

Roslyn Court is ideally located in a historic and attractive city, with easy access to amenities including a Post Office, doctor’s surgery, a range of convenience stores and supermarkets and restaurants.

Apartments are proving popular with 60% already sold off-plan. Prices currently start from £224,950 for a one bedroom apartment and £299,950 for a two bedroom apartment.

More than nine out of ten customers would recommend McCarthy and Stone to a friend, ensuring it has received the full Five Star award for customer satisfaction from the Home Builders Federation for 12 years’ running.  McCarthy and Stone is the only UK housebuilder of any size or type to achieve this accolade, which is every year the awards have been run.
