McCarthy & Stone seeks charity to support in Bawtry

07 August 2017

The UK’s leading retirement housebuilder, McCarthy and Stone, has launched a search for a local charity to support in Bawtry and the surrounding areas, as its new Retirement Living development, William Bradford Court, on Tickhill Road, starts to take shape.

With construction well underway at the site, McCarthy and Stone is looking to pledge its support to a neighbourhood project, charity or one-off event within the local community.

Community groups and local charities are urged to get in touch as soon as possible by emailing requests to mccarthyandstone@mccann.com by midnight on Friday 1st September 2017. Please mark your emails ‘Bawtry Community Appeal’ in the subject header.

Liz Green, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy and Stone North East, comments: “Our fundamental aim when creating a development is to support and integrate McCarthy and Stone and our future homeowners into the local community. Our developments are created with community in mind, and supporting local charities or neighbourhood projects allows us to create a positive legacy.”

William Bradford Court is already proving extremely popular amongst local retirees with its central location and impressive facilities. The development will comprise 34 one and two bedroom apartments, alongside beautiful landscaped gardens that will be fully maintained by expert gardeners, and convenient on-site parking. Selected apartments will also feature an outdoor terrace.

Aimed exclusively at people aged 60 and over, the development provides luxury retirement living free from external maintenance, and allows homeowners to enjoy an independent lifestyle in a safe and secure environment.  The development will feature a stunning homeowners’ lounge ideal for socialising with friends and a convenient guest suite should homeowners have friends or family to stay. Set in a prominent location, William Bradford Court has a good range of amenities nearby, and good public transport links to Doncaster, Gainsborough and other surrounding towns.

The development will also benefit from its very own House Manager, who will take care of the smooth-running of the development; while video entry and a 24-hour emergency call system will provide added peace-of-mind for homeowners.

Apartments at William Bradford Court will be available to buy off plan in November 2017, with first occupations expected in spring 2018. Those interested in Retirement Living at McCarthy and Stone’s Bawtry development are invited to call 0800 201 4739 or click here for more information.
