Northern news - McCarthy & Stone Reveals Halifax Development Name

McCarthy & Stone’s newest Later Living development in Halifax has been named Trinity Court in honour of a number of nearby landmarks which also feature the word ‘Trinity’ in their titles.

The name was chosen from the host of suggestions made by students of the neighbouring Holy Trinity Primary School, after McCarthy & Stone ran a competition with them to find the development a name of local significance.

Classes from the school worked together to think of appropriate names, with students Zubair Haroon (7), Anisha Iqbal (10) and Phoebe Russell (10) coming up with the winning title to reflect not only the name of their school, but also several local street names and that of the community church.

In reward for their efforts, the three pupils have each received a £25 book token, while McCarthy & Stone has also made a £100 donation to the school itself.

“Being able to work alongside the students at Holy Trinity Primary School has helped us to gain a better understanding of the local community as a whole, and we have been really impressed by the amount of valuable research they each put in to coming up with some great names. We really can’t thank Zubair, Anisha and Phoebe enough for suggesting Trinity Court!”

When complete, Trinity Court will provide 50 Later Living apartments designed exclusively for people over the age of 60 who are looking to make the most out of the independence that retirement can offer.

Situated on Oxford Road, the purpose built apartments will provide residents with a manageable and secure living environment, whilst giving them added peace of mind from still owning their own home.

The apartments will each include a number of thoughtful design features such as a 24-hour personal emergency call service, and a closed-circuit TV entry system for extra security.

Additional features such as landscaped gardens, a communal residents’ lounge, and a guest suite for visiting family and friends, will ensure that residents are able to maintain an active lifestyle.
