McCarthy & Stone, the UK’s leading retirement developer, is flying the flag of success after Carl Lamb, site manager at the Mallory Court development in Skipton, scooped a coveted housing award.

Carl fought off stiff competition from hundreds of other applicants to be awarded one of this year’s National Housebuilding Council’s (NHBC) Pride in the Job Quality Awards.

The awards, one of the most prestigious competitions in the house building industry, are designed to recognise those site managers in the UK who consistently demonstrate exceptional commitment to high standards in house building.

Carl joined McCarthy & Stone 11 years ago as an assistant site manager, becoming a site manager in 2004.  Over his career with McCarthy & Stone, he has picked up three NHBC awards, including the colleague award, regional award and a Seal of Excellence award, demonstrating his continued commitment to driving and delivering excellence.

Carl explains: “When you’ve been with a company as long as I have, it is difficult not to take pride in the work that you do!  However, this award recognises the hard work and dedication of the whole team at Mallory Court so it is great to be recognised and rewarded by those within the industry.”

Fiona Brookes, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy & Stone North, comments: “Throughout his career with McCarthy & Stone, Carl has always succeeded in exceeding the highest standards in house building so it’s not surprising he has picked up yet another award! McCarthy & Stone has won a number of NHBC awards this year and demonstrates as a company our commitment to high levels of quality, service and customer care.”

As a Retirement Living development, Mallory Court is designed to enable an independent lifestyle, while offering companionship, privacy and security. Facilities include a lounge for socialising, a convenient on-site guest suite and a beautiful roof terrace which features a kitchenette and WC. The development also boasts a 24 hour state-of-the-art security system and a dedicated house manager to ensure complete peace of mind for purchasers and their families. All properties are low maintenance and energy efficient.

Conveniently situated on Brewery Lane, the development is well served by the local shops and amenities close to Skipton’s historic town centre. Prices start from £152,999.
