Mayor of Wellingborough offers helping hand at new McCarthy & Stone development

14 December 2017

The Mayor and Mayoress of Wellingborough, Councillor and Mrs Paul Bell, donned their high vis jackets and hard hats to help lay the building blocks of McCarthy and Stone’s brand new Retirement Living development in Wellingborough, on Friday 8th December.

The VIP guests joined McCarthy and Stone site manager, Andy Sampson, to take a tour of the site of the Rosebud Court development, which is currently under construction, and to find out more about the benefits of Retirement Living.

Located on Westfield Road in Wellingborough, Rosebud Court will eventually comprise 45 stylish one and two bedroom luxury apartments. Properties will be available to buy off-plan from February 2018, with first occupations expected in August 2018. Designed for the over 60s, the development will present the very best in modern and independent living, within a safe, secure and low-maintenance apartment.

The Mayor of Wellingborough, Councillor Paul Bell, said: “It was a pleasure to visit McCarthy and Stone’s new Wellingborough development. Living independently and securely is so important; and, with an ageing population, it is reassuring to see developments like this emerging within the borough, which will help local retirees maintain their lifestyle with ease.”

Cheryl Bissett, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy and Stone East Midlands, added: “We were delighted the Mayor and Mayoress of Wellingborough, Councillor and Mrs Paul Bell, were able to take the time out of their busy schedules to visit our exciting new development, and we look forward to welcoming retirees in Wellingborough and the surrounding area to take a closer look in the New Year.”

Rosebud Court will provide privately-owned luxury accommodation for those aged over 60 in Wellingborough. Facilities at the development will include a stunning homeowners’ lounge, ideal for socialising with friends; beautifully landscaped gardens; an on-site car park; and a convenient guest suite, should friends or relatives wish to stay. Rosebud Court will also benefit from its very own House Manager, who will take care of the smooth-running of the development; while a security entrance system and 24-hour emergency call points will provide added peace-of-mind for homeowners.

Just a short walk from the development is a pretty town centre with a good selection of shops including a supermarket, pharmacy, cafes, restaurants and local boutiques. Future homeowners at Rosebud Court will also benefit from transport links to nearby Northampton and even London.

More than nine out of ten customers would recommend McCarthy and Stone to a friend, ensuring it has received the full Five Star award for customer satisfaction from the Home Builders Federation for 12 years’ running.  McCarthy and Stone is the only UK housebuilder of any size or type to achieve this accolade, which is every year the awards have been run.
