Mayor of Sheringham offers helping hand at new McCarthy & Stone development

04 January 2018

The Mayor of Sheringham, Councillor Mark Hill, donned a high visibility jacket and hard hat to help lay the building blocks of McCarthy and Stone’s brand new Retirement Living development in Sheringham, on Wednesday 10th January.

The VIP guest joined McCarthy and Stone site manager, Bernie Watson, to take a tour of the Beaumaris Court construction site and to find out more about the benefits of Retirement Living.

Located on South Street, Beaumaris Court will eventually comprise a stylish collection of 30 one and two bedroom apartments exclusively designed for the over 60s. Apartments will be available to buy off plan in February, with first occupations expected in the summer.

The Mayor of Sheringham, Councillor Mark Hill, said: “It was a pleasure to visit McCarthy and Stone’s new Sheringham development. Living independently and securely is so important; and with an ageing population, it is good to see developments like this, which will help local retirees maintain their lifestyle with ease.”

Cheryl Bissett, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy and Stone East Midlands, added: “We were delighted the Mayor of Sheringham, Councillor Mark Hill, was able to take the time out of his busy schedule to visit our exciting new development, and we look forward to welcoming retirees in Sheringham and the surrounding area to take a closer look in the summer.”

McCarthy and Stone’s Retirement Living developments offer homeowners the opportunity to downsize and maintain an active, independent lifestyle, surrounded by like-minded individuals.

Facilities at Beaumaris Court will include a stunning homeowners’ lounge ideal for socialising with friends, beautifully landscaped gardens, parking facilities, and a convenient guest suite should friends or relatives wish to stay. A House Manager will take care of the smooth day-to-day running of the development; while a security entrance system and 24-hour emergency call points will provide added peace of mind for homeowners and their families.

Located in the town of Sheringham, Beaumaris Court is ideally situated for easy access to all local amenities and public transport links to locations further afield.

More than nine out of ten customers would recommend McCarthy and Stone to a friend, ensuring it has received the full Five Star award for customer satisfaction from the Home Builders Federation for 12 years’ running.  McCarthy and Stone is the only UK housebuilder of any size or type to achieve this accolade, which is every year the awards have been run.
