Mayor Of Poole Opens New Retirement Development in Branksome

Sparkling Opening - Southern - Clarendon House

The Mayor of Poole, Councillor Sean Gabriel, has joined local retirees to celebrate the sparkling opening of McCarthy and Stone’s new Retirement Living development, Clarendon House, on Tower Road in Branksome Park.

As McCarthy and Stone’s guest of honour, Councillor Sean Gabriel performed the ceremonial ribbon-cutting at the new age-exclusive development, which will feature 32 stunning two bedroom apartments for those aged 60 and over, when it is completed this summer.

Local retirees who attended on the day were among the first to take a closer look – accompanied by a celebratory glass of fizz - at the professionally-styled show complex at Clarendon House. They also had the opportunity to find out more about Retirement Living, and to meet the friendly McCarthy and Stone team.

Visiting the development for the first time, Councillor Sean Gabriel commented: “It was an absolute pleasure to celebrate the sparkling opening of McCarthy and Stone’s new Retirement Living development in Poole, and to meet with homeowners and staff. It was great to see first-hand what a fantastic development Clarendon House is and the many benefits it will bring to local retirees.”

Nicki Beswarick, Divisional Marketing Manager for McCarthy and Stone Southern, comments: “We are very proud of Clarendon House and it was our pleasure to showcase this superb new development with such an enjoyable event. Everyone had a great time raising a glass to commemorate this important milestone, and the McCarthy and Stone team would like to say thank you to Councillor Sean Gabriel for performing the all-important ceremonial duties.”

McCarthy and Stone’s Retirement Living communities are thoughtfully-designed exclusively for the over 60s to provide the very best in modern, independent living within a safe and secure environment.

Situated less than a mile from Poole’s Blue Flag beaches, the Clarendon House development will feature social spaces including a large Club Lounge, perfect for socialising with new neighbours, and landscaped gardens, maintained by McCarthy and Stone’s expert team.  A hotel-style guest suite will also be available for when family and friends come to stay.

Built with security in mind, Clarendon House will include a camera entry system and each apartment will also have 24-hour emergency call points for added peace-of-mind.  A House Manager will take care of the day-to-day running of the development.

Apartments at Clarendon House are now available to reserve off-plan, with prices starting from £375,000 for a two-bedroom design.  The first homeowners are expected to move-in when construction is complete in the summer.

More than nine out of ten customers would recommend McCarthy and Stone to a friend, ensuring it has received the full Five Star award for customer satisfaction from the Home Builders Federation for 14 years’ running.  McCarthy and Stone is the only UK housebuilder of any size or type to achieve this accolade for 14 consecutive years, which is every year the awards have been run.
