The Mayor of Nuneaton and Bedworth, Councillor Mrs June Tandy, donned a hi-vis jacket and hard hat last week to help lay an official date brick at McCarthy Stone’s brand new Retirement Living development, The Close on Church Street.
The Mayor, Councillor Tandy, joined the McCarthy Stone team, including Site Manager Adam Walker and Customer Relationship Manager, Helene Key, to take a closer look at development plans and find out more about the benefits of the Retirement Living.
Located on Church Street, the forthcoming Retirement Living development will comprise a selection of one and two-bedroom apartments exclusively for the over 60s.
The Mayor, Councillor Tandy commented: “I was delighted to visit the site of McCarthy Stone’s forthcoming development in Nuneaton, and to have the honour of laying a date brick. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet the construction team and to hear first-hand about the benefits of living in a high quality retirement community.
“I look forward to seeing construction progress at this new development which will boost the choice of privately-owned downsizing properties for retirees in Nuneaton and surrounding areas.”
