The Mayor of Gedling, Councillor Sandra Barnes, donned a hi-vis jacket and hard hat last week to visit the site team at Wisteria Place.

Councillor Barnes joined the McCarthy and Stone team, including Site Manager Andy Gladwin, and Customer Relationship Manager, Lucy Carter, to take a closer look at the plans for the development and find out more about the benefits of retirement living.

The Mayor, Councillor Barnes, commented: “I was delighted to visit the site of McCarthy and Stone’s forthcoming development in Bulcote. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet the construction team and to hear first-hand about the benefits of living in a high quality retirement community.

“I look forward to seeing construction progress at this new development, which will boost the choice for retirees in Bulcote and surrounding areas.”

Samantha Watkins, Regional Sales and Marketing Director at McCarthy and Stone East Midlands, said: “We were delighted that the Mayor of Gedling, Councillor Sandra Barnes, was able to take the time to visit our Wisteria Place site, look at the plans.

“McCarthy and Stone is committed to designing flexible homes which allow people to make the most of their retirement years, and to live as independently as possible with the benefit of having extra support should they need it. We hope our Wisteria Place development will provide the ideal setting for retirees to enjoy their retirement to its fullest, and we urge all those interested to register now for further updates as the build programme progresses.”
