As McCarthy and Stone’s guests of honour, Councillor Len Horwood and Mrs Judy Horwood, Councillor Zulhash Uddin and Councillor Ian Kinghorn performed the ceremonial ribbon-cutting at the new age-exclusive development.

Local retirees who attended on the day were among the first to take a closer look at the professionally-styled show complex at Southborough Gate. They also had the opportunity to find out more about Retirement Living, and to meet the friendly McCarthy and Stone team while enjoying a celebratory glass of fizz.

Visiting the development for the first time, Councillor Len Horwood commented: “It was an absolute pleasure to mark the official opening of McCarthy and Stone’s new Retirement Living development in Tunbridge Wells, and to meet with homeowners and staff.
