Local residents invited to help shape plans for retirement accommodation in Isleworth

24 September 2015

McCarthy and Stone, the UK’s leading retirement housebuilder, is inviting feedback from residents on its proposals for high-quality Retirement Living apartments on Twickenham Road in Isleworth. The proposal includes approximately 29 apartments comprising a mix of one, two and three bedrooms with a provision of on-site car parking.

McCarthy and Stone has a wealth of experience in delivering homes that are specifically designed to meet the needs of people in later life. Recognising that getting older can present new challenges, McCarthy and Stone’s Retirement Living schemes enable people to retain the independence and privacy of their own home with the opportunity to enjoy the company of others through the use of communal facilities including a homeowners’ lounge and professionally landscaped gardens.

Local residents are invited to view McCarthy and Stone’s early proposals at a public exhibition:
On: Wednesday 7th October 2015
Between: 3pm and 7pm
At: Vestry Room, Isleworth Public Hall, South Street, Isleworth, London, TW7 7BG

Ali Maruf, Regional Managing Director for McCarthy and Stone (North London Region) said;

“Our plans would provide a specialist form of housing that would help to meet an identified and growing need in the area. We have spent time carefully researching the local architecture to ensure that our proposal is in-keeping and sympathetic to its surroundings, but now we would like to hear the views of the local community.

“Members of our project team will be on hand at the public exhibition to answer questions and listen to feedback. The proposals are at a very early stage and where possible we will amend our plans to reflect people’s comments.”

Typically, homeowners at McCarthy and Stone developments are looking to ease the burden of maintaining a larger home that is then released onto the market.
McCarthy and Stone is committed to engaging with the local community ahead of submitting a planning application.

If you are unable to attend the public exhibition or would like further information, McCarthy and Stone has provided a Freephone information line for you to call (0800 298 7040) and has set up a website covering the initial proposals which can be found at www.mccarthyandstone-consultation.co.uk/isleworth.
