17 September 2019

McCarthy and Stone, the housebuilder behind the new Beck House Retirement Living development in Isleworth, has given Isleworth Bowls Club a welcome boost with a £1,200 donation.

Based at Redlees Park, Isleworth Bowls Club welcomes members of any age to play bowls in a friendly environment. The club, prides itself on welcoming those of any skill level or background.  It has a mix of social, casual, experienced and competitive players; and many of its members participate in men’s, ladies and mixed league matches.

McCarthy and Stone’s Sales Consultant, Karen Heston, presented Max Laurie, Club Chairman of Isleworth Bowls Club, with a cheque for £1,200.

Max Laurie said: “We are very grateful to McCarthy and Stone for its generous donation. As a club that is over 85 years old, we value our place within the Isleworth community and support from local businesses plays an important part. We are looking to improve our club facilities and donations such as this help towards the costs.”

Karen Heston, Sales Consultant from McCarthy and Stone, added: “As a company, we appreciate our responsibilities go further than building quality retirement apartments, and we also seek to create a positive legacy in the communities in which we build.

“Isleworth Bowling Club recognises the importance of participating in sporting and social activities, and fostering companionship across the generations, so it was an absolute pleasure to present this donation.  The team at McCarthy and Stone’s Beck House development wishes the club every success with their ongoing commitment to bringing bowls into the lives of people of all ages.”

Comprising a collection of luxury Retirement Living apartments for the over 60s, Beck House offers retirees the opportunity to downsize and maintain an active, independent lifestyle, surrounded by like-minded individuals.
