Great, Great Nephew of Major Frederick Jackson marks opening of Jackson Place

20 July 2017

There was cause for celebration on Friday 14th and Saturday 15th July as the great, great nephew of Major Frederick Jackson joined local people for the grand opening of McCarthy and Stone’s new Retirement Living development, Jackson Place, which is situated on Fields Park Drive in Alcester.

Roger Jackson was on hand to mark the official opening of the development by performing the ceremonial ribbon cutting, while guests took advantage of their first opportunity to take a tour of the fully-furnished show apartment and toast the new development with a glass of fizz.

Designed for the discerning over 60s, Jackson Place features a collection of 34 one and two bedroom luxury apartments, priced from £192,000 and £265,000 respectively. Potential purchasers can also take advantage of McCarthy and Stone’s range of tailored incentives, which can help to make moving even easier.

Robert Monkman, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy and Stone West Midlands said: “Our aim is to help older people stay independent for longer and to really make the most of their retirement, so we are delighted Jackson Place has already proven so popular. We are very thankful to Roger Jackson for taking the time to visit our highly prestigious new development, and we are honoured he was able to join us to mark its official opening.”

Facilities at Jackson Place include a stunning homeowners’ lounge, ideal for socialising with friends; beautifully landscaped gardens in which to relax; and a convenient guest suite, should homeowners have friends or relatives to stay. A House Manager takes care of the smooth running of the development, while a secure entrance system and 24-hour emergency call points provide added peace-of-mind.

The award-winning housebuilder offers a range of incentives aimed at making moving even easier and more affordable. McCarthy & Stone’s Smooth Move service includes contributions towards estate agent and legal fees. Alternatively, eligible homeowners can choose to Part Exchange their existing home – whether trading up or down – thus avoiding estate agent fees, sales chains, and the stress of moving out and in on the same day.

Conveniently located just a short walk from the town centre, Jackson Place benefits from a range of amenities and services including a Post Office, Waitrose, banks, and a selection of eateries and tea rooms, as well as easy access to local areas of Alcester.

More than nine out of ten customers would recommend McCarthy and Stone to a friend, ensuring it has received the full Five Star award for customer satisfaction from the Home Builders Federation for 12 years’ running.  McCarthy and Stone is the only UK housebuilder of any size or type to achieve this accolade for 12 years, which is every year the awards have been run.
