Glenhills Court in Glen Parva to host Spring afternoon tea

05 May 2017

Homeowners and staff at McCarthy and Stone’s Glenhills Court development beside the Grand Union Canal in Glen Parva are inviting local people to join them for a Spring Afternoon Tea on Thursday 18th May.

The event will take place at the Retirement Living PLUS (previously Assisted Living) development from 2pm and is free for all to attend. There will be a selection of homemade cakes and a glass of fizz; and retirees will have the opportunity to take a tour of Glenhills Court and experience for themselves some of the unique lifestyle benefits on offer there.

Jason Fennell, House Manager at Glenhills Court, said: “We are really looking forward to hosting our Spring Afternoon Tea. We are all very proud of the new community we have created here in the heart of Glen Parva and our age-exclusive apartments are a must-see for those seeking retirement homes in Leicestershire. We hope local people will join us on Thursday to take a closer look at Glenhills Court – and for plenty of tea and cake. Everyone is welcome and it should be a fantastic event.”

Comprising an attractive selection of 55 one and two bedroom Retirement Living PLUS (previously Assisted Living) apartments, exclusively designed for people aged 70 and over, Glenhills Court provides everything homeowners could want for a relaxing and enjoyable retirement. Prices currently start from £158,950 and £244,950 respectively.

McCarthy and Stone’s Retirement Living PLUS (previously Assisted Living) developments aim to bridge the gap between conventional Retirement Living and residential care. Homeowners are able to retain independence in the form of home ownership, yet still have the peace of mind of a range of additional 24/7 security and support services. Glenhills Court features a selection of social areas, including the homeowners’ lounge, and canal side gardens and a sun terrace for those warm summer evenings. There is also a fantastic restaurant serving meals every day of the year.

Glenhills Court enjoys a convenient location in Glen Parva, within easy reach of Leicester city centre and with the Grand Union Canal close-by.

Glen Parva is a peaceful suburb to the south of the city, conveniently situated to the M1 motorway. It is largely residential, with several small shops in its ‘Carvers Corner’, including a post office, chemist and newsagent. Nearby, the Fosse Shopping Park features over thirty high street stores. Glen Parva also benefits from a local park, library and memorial hall.

The spring afternoon tea is expected to be busy and spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis. To book your place at the event please call 0800 310 0384, or for more information about Glenhills Court click here.
