Free Art Exhibition a Success for Reynolds Court

28 March 2013

Art enthusiasts from across Liverpool joined purchasers at McCarthy & Stone’s Reynolds Court development in Woolton this week, for an afternoon of good company and fine art.

During the special event, the homeowners lounge at the Later Living development on Vale Road was transformed into an arena of watercolour paintings as created by resident artist, Jill Moore.

Guests were welcomed along to both view the art and hear Mrs Moore talk about her extensive selection of paintings, before enjoying some informal refreshments alongside fellow art lovers in the development’s delightful lounge.

Fiona Brooks, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy & Stone, said: “At McCarthy & Stone we believe that later life should be rich, rewarding and hugely fulfilling and Jill is someone who really embodies this through her continuing commitment to art. We had a great afternoon, and Jill’s work was widely applauded.”

Mrs Moore, who moved into Reynolds Court in July last year, has been painting for the last 40 years but has found more time to fulfil her passion since retiring. She now leads the watercolours club at the Calderstones Activities in Retirement Group.

She said: “Since I moved to Reynolds Court I have been able to enjoy painting even more as I have the freedom to indulge in the things I really want to do, including my love for art. I love living here as there’s always someone to talk to and something going on, be it exercise classes or book group.”

McCarthy & Stone’s Later Living developments at Reynolds Court offer the independence of retaining home ownership while living in an apartment specifically designed for later life. Facilities include a shared lounge, guest suite, laundry room and a lift. A dedicated house manager ensures the smooth running of the development and a security entrance system plus 24-hour emergency call points provide peace of mind for both residents and their families. All properties are low maintenance and energy efficient.

In addition to offering age exclusive apartments, the retirement developer also provides a range of financial services, including a pension annuity service, equity release, legal services and guaranteed funeral plans.
