Farnham Common Locals Invited to Share Their Nature Inspired Snaps

27 July 2019

The UK’s leading developer and manager of retirement communities, McCarthy and Stone, is inviting local people to capture the essence of Farnham Common and the surrounding area for its nature inspired photography competition.

As the British summer reaches its peak, the team at McCarthy and Stone’s Farnham Common development, Heathlands, has launched a seasonal photography competition, inviting local people to capture photographs of Farnham Common and the surrounding areas in the summer months.

Budding photographers from Farnham Common are invited to enter the competition, which will challenge people to capture images in their local areas. Entries could include anything from the nature and wildlife at Burnham Beeches or RSPB Church Wood to landscapes at The National Trust’s Dorneywood property. One lucky winner will receive a cheque for £200, and their winning photography will be displayed in Heathlands for future McCarthy and Stone homeowners to enjoy.

Those wishing to take part should email their photos and contact details to mccarthyandstone@mccann.com, or post to Heathlands Nature Photography Competition, C/O McCann PR, Communications House, Highlands Road, Shirley, Solihull, West Midlands, B90 4WE. Entries should be submitted no later than midnight on 18th August 2019.

Julie Ward, National Sales Director at McCarthy and Stone South East, explains: “Farnham Common is the perfect place for downsizers and retirees to settle, with its fabulous combination of local amenities, beautiful scenery and excellent transport links. We are looking forward to seeing the village in the summer months through the eyes of those who know it best – its residents – and we’re excited to see how they’ll showcase all that Farnham Common and Buckinghamshire offers.”

Comprising a selection of 20 one and two bedroom Retirement Living apartments, exclusively designed for people aged 60 and over, Heathlands provides everything homeowners could want for a relaxing retirement.

Homeowners at Heathlands benefit from on-site facilities including a club lounge; ideal for socialising with friends; landscaped gardens in which to relax; and a comfortable guest suite, should friends or relatives come to stay.  A dedicated House Manager takes care of the day-to-day running of the development; while a secure entry system and 24-hour emergency call points will provide added peace-of-mind.

There has never been a better time to move to Heathlands.  McCarthy and Stone will pay stamp duty on selected new apartments at the development for reservations made before 31st August 2019, provided the completion date is no later than 25th of October 2019.  Terms and conditions can be found online at mccarthyandstone.co.uk/stamp-duty-paid.

Alternatively, for those interested in renting in retirement at Heathlands, McCarthy and Stone will pay one month’s rent, inclusive of service charge, on selected new apartments for reservations made before 31st August 2019, providing the move in date is no later than 25th October 2019.
