Exeter retirees meet the team at Pinnoc Mews

05 February 2018

The UK’s leading retirement housebuilder, McCarthy and Stone, invited Exeter retirees to meet the team at its new Retirement Living development, which is currently under construction in Pinhoe.

At the event, which took place at The Pinhoe Hoard, local people made the most of the opportunity to meet award-winning Site Manager, Gareth Williams, who is overseeing the build programme at the development on Bakers Way, which is set to welcome its first homeowners in the summer.

Attendees were also able to view floor plans and apartment specifications and reserve their chosen apartment off-plan, with Pinnoc Mews’ Sales Executive, Martin Weedon-Hare, on hand to answer any questions and offer advice.

Site Manager, Gareth Williams, said: “It was fantastic to meet with Exeter retirees and update them on progress at Pinnoc Mews. The level of detail that goes into a McCarthy and Stone development is particularly high, and it gives me great satisfaction to work with the teams on site and deliver a new development to such a standard. It was also great to meet some of those who were among the first to reserve a new apartment at Pinnoc Mews, and who will be able to call the development home in the near future.”

Situated on Bakers Way in Exeter, Pinnoc Mews will eventually comprise 39 one and two bedroom privately owned apartments for the over 60s.  Facilities at the Retirement Living development will include a homeowners’ lounge, ideal for socialising with friends, and a convenient guest suite should homeowners have friends or relatives to stay.

Pinnoc Mews will also benefit from its very own House Manager, who will take care of the smooth-running of the development; while a security entrance system and 24-hour emergency call points will provide added peace-of-mind for both homeowners and their families.

Prices at Pinnoc Mews currently start from £249,950 for a one bedroom apartment and from £348,500 for a two bedroom apartment.

The village feel of Pinhoe combined with the amenities of Exeter make it an excellent place for retirees to downsize, with its thriving community and proximity to the countryside.

More than nine out of ten customers would recommend McCarthy and Stone to a friend, ensuring it has received the full Five Star award for customer satisfaction from the Home Builders Federation for 12 years’ running.  McCarthy and Stone is the only UK housebuilder of any size or type to achieve this accolade for 12 years, which is every year the awards have been run.
