Councillor Ieuan Williams visits McCarthy & Stone's Benllech development

27 July 2017

Councillor Ieuan Williams visited McCarthy and Stone’s new Retirement Living development, Plas Glanrafon, on Tyn-Y-Gongl in Benllech last week, to mark a key milestone in the construction programme.

The Lligwy Councillor was invited to meet with McCarthy and Stone’s site manager at Benllech, Neil Stafford, to see how work is progressing at Plas Glanrafon. Councillor Ieuan Williams also took the opportunity to tour the site and to take a closer look at plans for the new Retirement Living apartments.

Councillor Ieuan Williams commented: “I was delighted to see the progress of the build, and to hear more about the plans for this incredibly impressive Retirement Living development that sits just half a mile away from the beach.

“As we continue to attract investment in our region, and to secure the sustained growth and prosperity of Anglesey, developments such as this are vital to ensure we have adequate housing options for those in later life – to enable those aged 55 and over to enjoy an independent and active retirement, and to feel safe and secure in their home.”

Regional Sales and Marketing Director at McCarthy and Stone North West, Fiona Brooks, said: “I would like to personally thank Councillor Ieuan William for joining us at Plas Glanrafon. This will be a highly sought-after development with Retirement Living apartments for those aged 55 and over who are looking to downsize to a more manageable property.

“Those interested in Retirement Living in Benllech are welcome to attend an information day on Friday 4th August at Benllech Community and Ex Serviceman Hall on Llangefni Road, with presentations taking place at 11am and 2pm. This will be the first opportunity to view floor plans, site layouts, and discover what life would be like at Plas Glanrafon.”

McCarthy and Stone Retirement Living developments are designed to bring together a community of like-minded people desiring a premium lifestyle. Exclusively for the over 55s, Plas Glanrafon will feature 35 luxury one and two bedroom apartments, alongside beautiful landscaped gardens and convenient on-site parking. Facilities will include a Homeowners’ Lounge, ideal for socialising with friends; a convenient guest suite should homeowners have friends or relatives to stay; and 24 hour emergency call points for added peace-of-mind.

The much-loved holiday location of Benllech is an idyllic place to downsize to. Homeowners will be within close proximity of a variety of shops and local amenities.
