Councillor Alf Clempson visits McCarthy & Stone's Poulton-le-Fylde development

03 August 2017

County Councillor, Alf Clempson, visited McCarthy and Stone’s new Retirement Living Plus development, Crocus Court, on Station Road in Poulton-le-Fylde last week, to mark a key milestone in the construction programme.

The Poulton-le-Fylde Councillor was invited to meet with McCarthy and Stone’s Assistant site manager, Simon Leakey, to see how work is progressing at Crocus Court. Mr Clempson also took the opportunity to tour the site and to take a closer look at plans for the new Retirement Living Plus apartments.

Councillor Alf Clempson commented: “I was very interested to see for myself how build is progressing on site at Crocus Court, and to hear more about the plans for this incredibly impressive Retirement Living Plus development which is located within close proximity of Blackpool and Preston.

“As we continue to attract investment in our region, and to secure the sustained growth and prosperity of Poulton-le-Fylde, developments such as this are vital to ensure we have adequate housing options for those in later life – to enable those aged 70 and over to enjoy an independent and active retirement, and to feel safe and secure in their home.”

Regional Sales and Marketing Director at McCarthy and Stone North West, Fiona Brooks, said: “I would like to personally thank County Councillor Alf Clempson for joining us at Crocus Court. This will be a highly sought-after development featuring Retirement Living Plus apartments for those aged 70 and over who are looking to downsize to a more manageable property.

“All those interested in finding out more about the benefits of Retirement Living Plus and who want to secure their stake in this new development are invited to an exclusive sales launch event on Thursday 5th October at The Great Hall at Mains, 86a Mains Lane, Singleton.  Presentations will be taking place at 11am and 2pm; and this event will represent the first opportunity to view floor plans and site layouts, and to discover what life would be like at Crocus Court.”

McCarthy and Stone’s Retirement Living Plus developments offer homeowners the opportunity to downsize and maintain an independent lifestyle, while also having access to tailored domestic assistance packages to help individuals manage their day to day lives, including a restaurant providing freshly cooked meals.

Facilities at the Station Road development will also include a homeowners’ lounge, ideal for socialising with friends, landscaped gardens, and a convenient guest suite should homeowners have friends or relatives to stay. An Estates Manager will be on-site to take care of the smooth-running of the development; while security entrance systems and 24 hour emergency call points will provide added peace-of-mind for homeowners and their families.

The beautiful market town of Poulton-Le-Fylde is an idyllic place to downsize to. Located on the Fylde coastal plain, homeowners will be within close proximity of a variety of shops and local amenities, with regular rail links operating to Blackpool city centre and Preston.

More than 90% of customers would recommend McCarthy and Stone to a friend, ensuring it has received the maximum Five Star award for customer satisfaction from the Home Builders Federation for 12 years’ running. It is the only housebuilder of any size or type to achieve this accolade for 12 years, which every year the awards have been run.
