Bourton-on-the-Water retirees invited to get their treasured possessions priced at valuation day

27 September 2017

Local expert Martin Lambert will be joining guests, homeowners and the team at McCarthy and Stone’s Bourton-on-the-Water development, Willoughby Place, on Wednesday 4th October for an antique valuation day to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

The auctioneers will be on hand at the age exclusive development on Station Road to value any antiques, and help punters put a cost on their most treasured possessions and finest family heirlooms. A selection of hot drinks and nibbles will also be available for guests to enjoy, while they wait for their collectables to go under the scrutiny of the experts.

For a £1 donation which will go to Cancer Research UK, all are welcome to attend the event at the development on Station Road, and to bring along their antiques for valuation from 2pm until 4pm. Guests can stay to take a tour of the development’s stunning show apartments, or to simply have a chat with current homeowners and find out more about life at Willoughby Place

Martin Edwards, Regional Managing Director for McCarthy and Stone West Midlands, said: “Our antique valuation day at Willoughby Place will be a great way for homeowners and guests to come along and get their favourite pieces priced-up by the experts, while they also experience for themselves the lifestyle we have on offer here for local retirees.”

Comprising an attractive selection of 20 unique one and two bedroom luxury apartments, including the impressive ‘Penthouse Apartment Collection’, Willoughby Place is designed exclusively for the over 60s, offering homeowners the very best in modern independent living within a safe and secure environment.

Ideal for those who want to ‘lock up and leave’, homeowners have total piece of mind with 24-hour security monitoring, security lighting and maintenance for communal areas, window cleaning and ground maintenance all taken care of.

Homeowners at Willoughby Place can enjoy full use of a stylish coffee lounge and landscaped gardens.  Selected apartments feature a balcony, terrace or patio, with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside; and each apartment also comes with its own privately allocated parking space.

The award-winning housebuilder offers a range of incentives aimed at making moving even easier and more affordable. McCarthy & Stone’s Smooth Move service includes contributions towards estate agent and legal fees. Alternatively, eligible homeowners can choose to Part Exchange their existing home, whether trading up or down, avoiding estate agents, sales chains and the stress of moving out and in on the same day.

Now 50 percent sold, prices start from £299,950 for the remaining two bedroom apartments at Willoughby Place, all one bedroom apartments are now sold out.

More than nine out of ten customers would recommend McCarthy and Stone to a friend, ensuring it has received the full Five Star award for customer satisfaction from the Home Builders Federation for 12 years running.  McCarthy and Stone is the only UK housebuilder of any size or type to achieve this accolade for 12 years, which is every year the awards have been run.
