McCarthy & Stone celebrates success at annual Housebuilder Awards
09 November 2016
McCarthy & Stone celebrated a winning night at the annual Housebuilder Awards 2016, scooping two awards including Best Customer Satisfaction Initiative and Best Retirement Scheme.
The Housebuilder Awards are organised by Housebuilder magazine and supported by NHBC and HBF. They reward excellence across the housebuilding disciplines.
McCarthy & Stone won Best Retirement Scheme for its standout development Ramsay Grange and Lyle Court in Edinburgh. The dual development is a jewel in McCarthy & Stone’s portfolio; providing the city’s first Assisted Living development exclusively for the over 70s, as well as securing the future of an important listed building and overseeing its thoughtful restoration.
The retirement housebuilder was also delighted to achieve the award for Best Customer Satisfaction Initiative, for its exceptional customer service which helps the homeowner through every step of the buying process, and beyond. This includes the offer of specialist services to help with the move process such as Smooth Move, which sees the purchaser benefit from a contribution toward estate agent and legal fees and takes care of the whole moving process.
David Bridges, Group Sales & Marketing Director, said: “We are thrilled to be recognised with two prestigious awards by Housebuilder magazine. The awards are testament not only to the high quality developments that we provide for retirees and our exceptional attention to detail from design to finish, but also to the five star customer service we provide. We are a company that invests in more than just bricks and mortar, we provide homeowners independence, security and a wonderful community so they can enjoy later life to the full.”
McCarthy and Stone this year achieved the full five star customer service satisfaction rating for an eleventh consecutive year from the Home Builders Federation. The company is the only housebuilder – of any size or type – to have achieved the award for eleven consecutive years and every year of the HBF’s Customer Satisfaction Survey since it began in 2006.
At the heart of McCarthy & Stone’s business model is its desire to improve the lives of those in later life, centred on purpose-built, high-quality developments in central locations with varying levels of support and care. Since 1977, McCarthy & Stone has built over 51,000 high-quality specialist retirement apartments and has more than 160 developments under construction or for sale nationwide.
