McCarthy & Stone Triumphs with Pride
05 August 2013
McCarthy & Stone site manager, Keith Julier, is celebrating after scooping a prestigious award for demonstrating outstanding levels of ‘Pride in the Job’.
Having been selected from more than 13,000 entries, Keith was awarded the coveted accolade from the National House-building Council (NHBC) for a second year running after displaying exemplary levels in site management skills at McCarthy & Stone’s Peel Court development in Welwyn Garden City.
The Pride in the Job quality awards are run as part of the NHBC campaign to reward the best site managers in the UK, and are only awarded after a year of strict judging, including spot checks on the day-to-day running of the sites and each candidate being assessed across 38 areas of site management.
Nigel Sibley, Regional Managing Director for McCarthy & Stone commented: “At McCarthy & Stone we are particularly proud of our developments and the high-quality build that our customers have come to expect from us. Keith is an excellent example of a site manager who takes that ideal and makes it a reality. We could not be happier that his commitment and dedication has been recognised in this way.”
Keith, who has been with McCarthy & Stone for 11 years, will now go forward to a regional competition this Autumn, where he could be in line to win a Seal of Excellence or regional award.
Steve Catt, Regional Director for NHBC, the UK’s leading standards setter and warranty provider for new UK homes, said: “Winning a Pride in the Job Quality Award is a major achievement for any site manager. Keith is at the top of the game, ensuring that the homes created are of the highest standards and he can be truly proud of this accolade.
“For over three decades, Pride in the Job has been a foundation of NHBC’s work to improve housing standards, encouraging best practice on site. The homes our Quality Award winners have built are without doubt among the best in the UK.”
