Geeta Nanda has more than 26 years’ experience in the housing sector and currently serves as Chief Executive of Thames Valley Housing Association. Prior to this, Geeta served as Group Operations Director at Notting Hill Housing Trust, leading Customer Services, Asset Management and Care and Support functions. Geeta has 23 years’ experience in Non-Executive roles, having served on the Boards of two housing organisations and national and local charities. In 2013, Geeta was awarded an OBE for achievements in social housing.

Nanda will join two additional Non-Executive Directors at the Company; Mike Parsons, formerly Chief Executive Officer of Barchester Healthcare, and Frank Nelson, formerly Finance Director of Galliford Try plc.

John White, McCarthy & Stone Chairman, said:

“I am delighted to welcome Geeta to the Board of McCarthy & Stone. In addition to her detailed understanding of the housing market, Geeta has extensive experience working with government bodies and policy makers to effect change in the housing industry. This will add valuable insight to the Board as we work with local and national governments to address the acute lack of specialist retirement housing across the UK.”

Geeta Nanda said:

“I'm very pleased to be taking on this role at such an exciting time for the business and look forward to working with the new executive team and the Board. We face a serious challenge in ensuring the adequate provision of housing for the UK’s ageing population and there is a significant opportunity for McCarthy & Stone to help address this issue.”
