McCarthy & Stone’s new website makes it easier than ever to search for a retirement development, discover more about the lifestyle you can expect in one of our retirement communities and learn more about our products and services.

The full version of our new website will be rolled out in several stages. In this first stage, we have given the website a refreshed look and feel, with better navigation, as well as new features and functionality.

What Changes have we Made?

Firstly, it’s now easier than ever to use the McCarthy & Stone website on your tablet or mobile device as we’ve moved to a ‘mobile-first’ design.

We know that 70% of our customers use mobiles and tablets to access the website, so this will make it far easier for you to find the information you’re looking for.

There are also a number of other features that you won’t necessarily see while using the site. Our site  features the latest in security technology and the website is now linked to our new Salesforce Customer Relationship Management system, which means we can provide a more personalised experience to the people that visit our website.

What Changes Will I Notice?

While using the site, you’ll notice a number of great new features.

Firstly, we’ve added integrated search for multi-tenure options, so it’s easier for you to search for your home and see tenure options that are applicable to your needs – whether that’s buying outright, rentals or a bit of both.

In addition, we’ve improved the ability to get in touch with us, how to contact your nearest development and how to book a visit. We also conducted extensive user testing to make sure the site is easy to use and works as you would expect.

Finally, we’ve also added an additional focus on lifestyle content, so you can see how our properties help you live your retirement to the full.

Fully Tried and Tested

Our new website has been designed and structured following extensive face-to-face consultation with our customers, analytical data and input from stakeholders across the business. Now, additional release phases are scheduled over the subsequent months to further increase functionality and improve the user experience the site provides.

Additional Thoughts

Tom Dougherty, the Experience Director of Delete - one of McCarthy & Stone’s partnered agencies in our Digital Transformation project - offered his thoughts on the new site:

“It’s been great working with McCarthy & Stone on this project to deliver a website transformation that better enables people to discover the available retirement properties and the different lifestyle experiences on offer.”

Our Head of Marketing - South Division, Geoff Bates, also commented that:

“We are delighted with the result and the positive difference the new website is already making for our customers, helping them conduct their research and access information.

Now the new site is up and running we are excited about working with our agency partner to deliver a program of continuous improvements that will ensure the website goes from strength to strength.”
