Your Guide To The Perfect Retirement: Retirement Living PLUS

Rachel Halliwell

Retirement Living PLUS combines the privacy of your own apartment with the peace of mind that comes from knowing friendly staff are on hand, day and night, to provide care and support – as and when you need it.

If you’re considering rightsizing, three part series, your Guide To The Perfect Retirement aims to inform and inspire. Whether you want a stylish apartment, a range of social activities on offer, or somewhere with more care and support if and when needed, we have the perfect place for you.

In this article, Marie Bird, who is 91 and a homeowner at Bilberry Place, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, tells us how moving to a Retirement Living PLUS development has helped her achieve her ambition of living the retirement she always wanted.

Retirement Living PLUS

Marie loves to socialise. If she isn’t entertaining family and friends in her apartment at Bilberry Place, she can often be found chatting with her neighbours in the homeowners’ lounge.

‘Of course, if I want some quiet time alone I can have that too in the privacy of my beautiful home,’ she points out. ‘I always shut my front door feeling so safe and secure.

‘But I also know I only have to step outside to find some friendly company. I’m widowed, so having people around to chat to feels especially important to me. That wasn’t a certainty before moving here.’ Marie also enjoys keeping fit, joining several neighbours for the twice-weekly Pilates classes held at the development.

‘I plan to stay fit and active long into the future,’ she adds. ‘But it’s reassuring to know that if, eventually, I need more help  I’ll be able to get support and care in the home that I so love from people whom I already know.’

The Heart Of The Community

Our Managers are a key part of the friendly community that evolves at each development. They keep a close eye on things and ensure the development runs smoothly, so you have more time to do the things you want to do.

At Retirement Living and Retirement Living PLUS properties, our homeowners enjoy the best of both worlds: the peace and privacy of their own luxury apartment, along with the option to join in with various social activities should they choose too.

Where Would You Like to Live?

With three types  of development  on offer from this award-winning house-builder, all  you need to decide is where you would like to live.
