There was no hard sell at all; no pressure
Shirley Tyler continues on her journey to move into a McCarthy Stone apartment.
Shirley worried about downsizing from a three-bedroom house but McCarthy Stone was there every step of the way and moving to a new development in Bromsgrove, West Midlands could not have been easier. Here she tells her story...
The open day was in February and I had put the house on the market the previous July. In between times, salesperson Jo Warrender came out to see me. There was no hard sell at all; no pressure. Jo encouraged me to go and see other developments and talk to homeowners there, which I did. I went to see the McCarthy Stone development at Droitwich, Worcestershire. Everything was explained, so I had a good idea of what to expect on moving day.
When I put the house on the market it sold within one day. I suggested the estate agent to McCarthy Stone, which they agreed to. And I found McCarthy Stone’s selling service superb. Once I’d made the decision to sell, then there was all the anxiety of decluttering the house. People from McCarthy Stone’s removal service House to Home came to see me and explained what would happen.
They were very helpful and even offered to give things to charity but I’d already organised all that. My family and I took our time to declutter because I knew that not everything would fit into my new apartment. In a sense it was a relief to get rid of all the clothes and paintings that I didn’t need.
